Very good show.ABC is the best company currently broadcasting. No one is better.Funny how the self-declared "Christian values" station is the only oneaside from its partner in wedded bliss, ABC Family, that produces showscentered around WOMEN and dedicated to the growth of all. Props to this show for being real about trying to explore grief andPTSD.I really hate Christina and Owen. I'm kind of surprised that anybodylikes them together. He seems to be using her, and their 'I'll be withyou even when you're an asshole because I feel sorry for you' mutuallycodependent caretaking thing is irritating.Every single woman on this show seems involved with a man who is herboss or is ranked higher than she is at her workplace. This is nothealthy behavior, nor it is something y'all ought to be encouraging.Little Grey and Mark Sloan dating is a little bit disturbing--there issuch a thing as too much of an age difference to be able to work thingsout. I'm not sure if y'all are trying to be sexist or justinadvertently going there, but c'mon. Three supersmart women are datingolder, more highly ranked men? Eew.Things not dealt with satisfyingly on the show howeverinclude--Meredith's Mom's death, Addison's departure and the how andwhy of it, Rebecca's life and disappearance from the show, Mark'sfeelings for Addison, Meredith's suicidality: fact or fiction, andGeorge's death. The list is growing.Y'all--substituting briefly adrenaline-pumping events is not sufficientreplacement for actually watching characters grasp and deal with newevents in their lives and painful goodbyes. That used to be what made this drama great, was its capacity to witnessthe human element of drama as a slow but steady process. The show usedto be better at dealing with real pain, not pain obviously manufacturedto attract viewers to the season finale. When people stop watching your show, work on making it better, don'tinsert bizarre random dramatic events in hopes of attracting formerviewers scared of watching their favorite characters die. That is LOW, and may get you what you want for a short while, but itwill also ensure you go to the dark and scary place...which is fitting, because the writers appear unwilling and unable to deal with anythingremotely dark OR scary since Izzy's tumor, if not before. My personal thoughts, but c'mon. Y'all are better than this. By y'all I mean the writers, actors and actresses you are wonderful asever. Writers, get your mojo back. These folks deserve scripts thatkick ass, not linger incessantly on stuff no one really cares aboutanyway while cutting out all the truly good stuff.Make it a feminist show again, not merely a show about women.

I have been watching faithfully this new series just out of curiosityat first, then out of a sort of devotion even. It really jumped out atme though on the last episode to question exactly what sort of categorythis program fits into. I felt mostly all along that it fit into thedrama/comedy category, but a few things along the way and especiallythe season finale made me wonder if the show is not intended as a"farce" or "spoof" or at least leaning that direction in its comedicaspects. Consider all the professional lines the characters cross inevery episode--easily several times each episode. Examples are obvious, such as talking about their personal business when patients are beingtreated (fully conscious patients too!); or the constant sexualinvolvements besides Meredith's and Dr. McDreamy. But the final episodebordered on hilarity with the conclusion of the interns being put ontime-out, lined up in the hall like so many school children, and beingput to task planning a PROM of all things, like any hospital could everhave time for THAT! The patient whose doctor had pledged to marry himbut missed being at his death bed while trying on different promdresses, and who ultimately lays in bed beside him after he died, wasSO over the top, and so FAR across every boundary, I had to concludethat I was supposed to be laughing at this. In fact I did. My motherand sister, however, fell for it all and boo-hooed. I would be curiousto know if anyone else thought the final episode was meant to be funny,or was I just in some strange state of mind? sawznhamrs@sbcglobal dotnet to me! Dave

This show is so LAME. Why don't they just call this show "Horny PeopleWho are Mainly Always Trying to have Sex with Co-Workers, whilePretending to be Wanna-be Doctors". Guess that title would be too long,eh ? This show was better when it was called MELROSE PLACE !! Quitpretending to be a Hospital drama, and go back to being a cheesy AdAgency or some other "believable" work place setting, where yourcharacters don't really have to pretend to be smart, and deep, andhuman, and caring, and thoughtful, etc etc etc. Just make themENTERTAINING !! This show is trying to be a cross of ER and MELROSEPLACE. It's not working.

We have all made mistakes and have become better people because ofthem. My grandmother always said "no mistake is a bad mistake as longas you profit (grow) from it:. I believe that Mr. Washington willprofit from his mistake. I don't think that his statement warrantedrehab. He said he was sorry and apologized to everyone affected, thatshould have been sufficient. It was the media and the Gay Rightsorganizations that would not let the incident go. To watch the show winSunday night (SAG awards) and not see Mr. Washington on stage with thecast was very upsetting. I love his character and feel that Mr.Washington is a MAJOR contributor to the success of the show. He wouldbe greatly missed and the show would lose a fan. Senator Biden made amistake in his choice of words yesterday (1/31/07)and he apologized.Should he be sent to rehab, or is his apology enough? I think hisapology should be sufficient. There appears to be a lack of unity amongthe cast, maybe the entire cast should go to rehab. The cast shouldremember only one cast member won an individual award, the show won theawards as a unit. No one cast member is more important than the othercast members - they need each other to continue winning awards.Everyone should be careful of their remarks including the remarks theyare making about Mr. Washington! I hope they see these comments. I lovethe show, don't change the winning formula.

Perfectly placed after "Desperate Housewives", Grey's is my absolutefavorite show on TV! The main character is Meredith Grey, the daughterof a famous surgeon, Ellis Grey. She is an intern at Seattle GraceHospital and lives with two other interns, George O'Malley and IzzieStevens. They all work under Dr. Bailey, a mean but lovable surgeon. Onthe first episode, Meredith awoke late to her first day at work with aman that she had met the night before. They had spent the nighttogether, and while she hardly knew his name, she rushed off to work.Only later was she horrified to realize that her "one night stand" wasa surgeon at the hospital she was interning at.Derek "McDreamy" Sheperd and her went on to have a great relationship, until we come to realize a while later that Derek is actually marriedto Addison, who appears in the last episode of season one. Addisoncheated on Derek and Derek left her, but they never divorced, andAddison wanted to work things out. Eventually, Derek leaves Meredithfor Addison, even though he clearly is still in love with Meredith.George is in love with Meredith, who eventually sleeps with him, onlyto burst into tears during sex. George was heart broken, and didn'tmove on until he met his now girlfriend Callie, who resents Meredithand Izzie for the way they treat George.Christina Yang (another intern) is a determined, almost cold heartedintern who is living with Preston Burke, a very successful surgeon atSG. Burke and Derek are both competing to eventually replace the Chiefof Surgery. She is best friends with Meredith and the rest.Izzie is a model who once posed in lingerie ads to pay off her studentloans. She was dating Alex Karev (yet another intern) for a while, butafter he cheated on her, she broke things off. She recently fell inlove with her patient Denny, but after she nearly killed him in orderfor him to get a heart transplant, he died in the season two finale(shortly after proposing to her, of course). On the season two finale, Meredith finally starts dating another man,Fin (sp?), her and Dereks veterinarian (they adopted a dog together). At a prom being held at the hospital for a terminal ill 17-year-old,Derek finally realized that he couldn't be without Meredith and theyhave sex in an empty room at the hospital. Merediths current boyfriend,Fin, is a widower and had just told Meredith how he "stopped makingplans" after his wife died, but that since Meredith, he had "startedmaking plans again". After Denny dies, all of the interns sort of freakout, and Fin offers to drive Meredith home. Meredith looks at him, andthen at McDreamy, and it seems that everyone knows whats going on.Derek then calls for Meredith, and the show ends.Thats basically the first two seasons, give or take.

When 37 years old woman acts and tries to be something like 27 i findit very very very disturbing. You can see the wrinkles from'Meredith's' face and you can even understand by looking the seriesthat she is really about same age as 'Bailey'.Same goes to 'Cristina' here. There's also 10 years too much but itdoesn't show as bad as with 'Meredith'. 'Izzie' looks like a real woman, and what a surprise. She really isabout same age as she acts to be. But in real life... 9 years youngerthan 'Meredith'. How really can directors and producers approve thiskind of scam and think that all ppl looking at this are blind andreally can't see the wrinkles around 'Meredith's' eyes.Over-aged actors here give me the creeps. 50% of the script has somepoint and if the series only had a better actor on the leading role, this could go between lunch and evening snack. With present... I canonly hope that producers stop accepting >10 years too old ppl forroles. Thank you, next series.

After watching a marathon 20 episodes of season 2, i just needed aforum to voice my opinion about Grey's Anatomy. This series has gotsome great characters, you will in fact get all your typed charactersin this series, A tom boy intern (christiana) , A smart mouth (Alex), Alovable goof (George), A hottie (Izzie), A bad ass (bailley)..etc etc.The only problem I have with the series is Dr. Grey and DrShepherd...MAN THEY ARE ANNOYING!!!! Their relationship stuff is somind numbing, How can one even sympathize with these characters whenthey are so selfish that one will get back with his wife only to keepflirting with Dr. Grey and other to sleep through half the Seattlepopulation only to cry at the end of each episode, pining for DrShepherd. I cant even explain how much I hate their character !!!

I didn't even have to be told this show is produced by a woman, but Ilooked it up to verify and sure enough it is. The show is so overtlypro-female/anti-male that you just know an endorsement from OprahWinfrey will be coming soon. Everything irritating about this show could be summed up into a momentof dialogue from one of its episodes. After constantly berating, belittling and humiliating her roommate George, and never hesitating tomake it clear to him that his opinion means nothing to her, Izzie(short for Isobel) asks him in all seriousness, "Did you feel like Iwas emasculating you?" Even more incredulously, she said it with astraight face."Emasculating" is the key word in this show. The hospital of thisprogram is populated with women with chips on their shoulders and menwho are bastards until these women set them straight. In one particularepisode a rape victim is callously dismissed by the surgeons until theintern reminds them that she has a name--the ol' new-girl-teaches-theold-farts compassion trick. Beyond that, the doctors remove from thewoman's mouth something which none of them but our heroine, MeredithGrey, can identify : the end of the rapist's penis.I'm not even all that perturbed by the idea of a bitten-off penis, fora rapist would surely get what he deserved, but do you mean to tell methat a room full of MALE DOCTORS couldn't identify a penis while aWOMAN could? Where is this hospital so that we can all avoid it? The program constantly features Izzie wearing next to nothing as shewalks around the house she shares with Meredith and George. Improbably,George (whom we can only assume is straight) complains about this, onlyto prompt her poke her head into the shower while he's there.Meanwhile, there's cocky Alex who mocks her modeling days and she getseven by stripping in front of him. If Izzie is so concerned about beingtaken seriously by the hospital crowd then why is she so contemptuouslyundressed in front of George, someone who could be her ally, yetoffended by Alex's motivations? I guess you're asking yourself why I watch this show if it bothers melike this, and the answer is that otherwise it can be engaging. I caneven overlook that fact it features Patrick Dempsey, an actor I'vedisdained--pre or post rhinoplasty. It takes place in Seattle, a cityin which I once lived and continue to love, so it makes me feelconnected to that particular place. This show has all the framework ofbeing a great program, and I don't even mind the chick power stuffadding a little verve. I just wish they'd take it back a few notchesand make the males (beyond Dempsey's character) a lot more sympathetic.

I started hating Meredith's character since the middle of season2.since season 3 session 22 I hated her even more.her mother died a fewsessions ago.It was as if nothing has happened. She started calling her'my dead mother' with such lack of emotion.this session her father'swife dies and she bursts into tears!this is ridiculous!she is such astranger worshiper. And I detest these people as unfortunately my auntis a one herself. Secondly,in the previous season she called her mothera whore, though this is she herself who sleeps with every man she feelslike and hurts every body's feelings and ruins others lives. And afterall she justifies herself!she thinks she's a saint!she's the mostpromiscuous character I've ever seen in my life. It's really a pitythat such an invidious character is the leading role of this reallygood movie. I hope that Ellen Pompeo herself, doesn't resemble Meredithat all!

Never in my life have I seen a worse show. The characters are shallow, have panic attacks literally ever 30 seconds, ignore actual patientsand worry about each other, and the whole thing seems completelyunrealistic. I wish Ellen Pompeo would stop with the George Bushimpersonation and actually open her eyes. Just a terrible show. Abetter title would be "girl doctors who complain about their sex livesand pretty much whore around the whole time". If you want to see anear-perfect medical show, then hit up FOX on Tuesday nights to see adoctor at his finest: Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House. Laurie'scharacter, a pain-killer addicted M.D. with no regard for manners but agenius doctor, brings sheer brilliance to the screen, making the showunbelievably intense and suspenseful, yet manages to be completelyrealistic, and he ACTUALLY DEALS WITH HIS PATIENTS, rather than sleepwith his co-workers. Grey's is just extremely sub-par, and fails toattract any demographic other than females who've had "every kind ofboyfriend." In other words, ditch Grey's, watch House. Period.

Sadly overacted, unrealistic, predictable series with 10 carbon copiesof one character. The surgeons & residents all stammer, growspeechless, have the same tone, similar reactions, lines, mannerisms, tears streaming down their faces... and these are doctors in ahospital. Have the show's creators and writers ever been in a hospital? It's all unheard of.I worked in a hospital with surgeons for 7 years and never ever saw oneof them cry or scream of grow out of control the way these charactersdo every day on the job. It's totally ludicrous - doctors are verycool-headed in their work, to the point of almost lacking compassion atall - especially surgeons. They are criticized for being totallyheartless, but you have to be to cut into human flesh. THey are nevermelodramatic the way ALL of the characters on this show are... not tomention the rotating bed partners and switching up sexuality --although most surgeons are sleaze-bags, the philandering is usuallywith nurses, not with other doctors and never same-sex. Grays featuresall kinds of unrealistic craziness. Please give the American public abreak and stop producing and airing this silly junk.

I love Grey's Anatomy so much! It is my favorite show. After you learnthe characters and their quirks and charms you begin to feel like youare a part of their lives. You want them to succeed so badly eventhough you somehow know they might fail. This is my favorite showbecause the acting is awesome. Ellen Pompeo (Meredith), Sandra Oh(Cristina), Justin Chambers (Alex), Katherine Heigl (Izzie) and T.RKnight (George) are phenomenal. They develop their characters sonicely, and you really feel as if you are in their lives. Other greatcharacters include Dr. Shepheard, Dr. Burke, Dr. Addison Shepheard andone of my all time favorites Dr. Bailey. This show is fantastic and Icannot wait till next season.

First off just let me say that I am a fan of medical dramas as a rule.I am an ER nurse and I usually enjoy fictional shows based on hospitalor pre-hospital situations. That said I was disappointed in Grey'sAnatomy mostly because of the gross medical errors in the script. Thiscould be an excellent show but they need to take the time to researchactual medical procedures, conditions, drugs, etc. to give the showsome depth in reality. For example a patient that arrives by helicopter would first go to theER not to a private room. Second Dr. Shepard is a surgical attendingbut the only surgery we see him do is neurosurgery, which is acompletely different discipline. Then we see Dr. Burke perform anappendectomy and an open heart in the same episode. Again generalsurgery and cardiovascular surgery are different disciplines. Also whenthe girl has here "grand mal" seizure they give the right drugs but inthe wrong amounts. When the girl goes into cardiac arrest they show theECG monitor and it shows a completely different rhythm then the onethey are treating. This could be a great show with a little more work put into it. One ofthings that makes ER so appealing is that it is a fairly accurate (fora TV show) portrayal of a real ER. I like the characters in Grey'sAnatomy and I think the cast has some good chemistry and a lot ofpotential. Hopefully the writers will take some time to put a littlemore reality into the script.

I was so, so disappointed with this season's ending. First of all, Ithink there could be so many other story lines by marrying Burke &Cristina. The trials & tribulations of their new marriage, while stillworking together, would be endless. Secondly, how often are they goingto split-up Derik & Meredith, SERIOUSLY?!!! Splitting them up AGAIN,was bad enough, but to hint at a love connection with Derik &Meredith's sister, is pouring salt to the wound and so beyond "Day TimeSoap". I've been a fan from the very beginning, but watching this dramaturn into "General Hospital", in which all character's will eventuallysleep with each other without a real sense of true love, is way toomuch. I can't believe I've neglected my CSI programs for this. Good byemy Gray's. It was fun, while the originality lasted.

I find it amazing to be in this minority but i feel this has come fromthe dumbing down of television. I can understand the need for a lighthearted view of hospital life. However, this show from ABC heads inthat direction with almost an identical rip off of Scrubs, withnarrations, musical moments, and even some of the same jokes andsituations. Now the reason i state that there is danger coming is ABC is trying tosweep the ratings now with a bold move to Thursdays next season. if iam correct, they are aiming to bring 'Grey's' to the nine o'clock slotwhich is already the most competitive. PArt of me is pleased with thisseeing as how there won't be a cheat on ratings for all the desperatehousewives viewers being trickled into the ten o'clock spot whereGrey's resides now. This could very well be the downfall of the showand i believe it is high time for it. The other shows on at that timedeserve much more credit than Grey's.I still can't believe that this show is on the air. The writers have toknow how bad some of their ideas are when they are coming up with them.At times i feel like they just went and filmed the first draft. I meanseriously, if an intern stole a heart, the interrogation wouldn't losefocus and become a therapy session. Not only that, there would be manymore people in that room from all areas of the hospital. and let's notforget the sudden changes in character behavior. It's almost as if noone knows the priorities in a hospital. I'll tell you one thing. If iwere to find myself a patient in that hospital, you would find mewheeling myself out of there within five minutes. Why would i want toseek aide in a hospital that puts all of the focus on the doctors firstand then the patients.
