To tell you the truth, I had my hesitations about watching anothermedical drama but this show surprised me. Hugh Laurie deserves a lot ofcredit for taking on an American accent and playing it so well. Youforget he's British. The casting of Lisa Edelstein is a welcomeaddition. She carries her character very well. Robert Sean Leonard isplaying an Australian. Funny since the show is set in New Jersey andthat's where he is from. Omar Epps is touching in a strong role as theneurologist. My favorite episode is starring Leslie Hope in a guestappearance as a homeless woman down on her luck. It is one of the mosttouching episodes on television lately. I even teared a little. Thefact that this show is set in New Jersey is a welcome change for us.Rather than depicting us as fun loving mobsters or crooked politicians, the show provides an interesting location. I will be watching it more.I love Hugh Laurie and hope that his die-hard fans would nominate himfor a British honor. He is long overdue for it in my opinion. Thecasting, writing, and acting is superb. I watched MAD-TV's parody ofthe show starring Michael McDonald in a perfect performance as Dr.House. HE is so good that you wonder if it is actually Hugh Lauriehimself. Great show overall.

"HOUSE" is one of those shows which I originally didn't watch when itfirst aired. Recently, I began watching the show to simply pass thetime and I was hooked! It has all the elements of a show which I findenjoyable, including some suspense, a little mystery and a whole lot ofsarcasm (from Dr. House himself), but particularly the sarcasm! Thecharacter of Dr. Gregory House is totally 100% pure sarcasm! Actor HughLaurie plays this limping, pill popping character with pure realism andgenius! In the face of adversity and uncertainty, Dr. House relies onhis sarcastic wit and no-nonsense attitude (not to mention his medicalexpertise, young medical assistants and pain pills)to get him throughhis cases every week! The plots on each episode are equitable if notbetter than those on "ER" or "CSI" and is even more enhanced by theseriously comedic sarcasm displayed By Hugh Laurie's portrayal of Dr.House. As played by Laurie, Dr. House's interactions with his youngmedical assistants (costars Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer,Jennifer Morrison and Robert Sean Leonard), and weekly featuredpatients is pure art! The comedic banter is performed perfectly on cueand shamelessly entertaining. The show is somewhat reminiscent of"Trapper John, MD", but with even more sarcasm. Another show which hadsome of the same elements was the prematurely canceled "Third Watch",which I feel had some amazing moments of sarcastically comedic banterbetween the principal characters which I was seriously missing, until Ifound "House!" Also similar to "Third Watch" is the use of some coolmusic. Hopefully, this show will stay on long enough for us viewers toenjoy some decent entertainment. You'll laugh, enjoy some fineperformances by the cast, (in particular, the brilliant acting of HuhghLaurie), and plenty of laughs, keeping you grinning for at least theentire hour the show is on! Enjoy!

House M.D. Some of you may not remember, but when House M.D. firstpremiered back in 2004, there were another medical mystery premisedshow hitting the pilot trail as well. Simply called MedicalInvestigations, it starred Neal McDonough, known at the time fromBoomtown and Band of Brothers, Kelli Williams from The Practice, andAnna Belknap, newcomer at the time and now from CSI: New York. The pitch, as per IMDb, with the subtleness of the invisible and thepotential deadliness greater than a bomb, disease can the mostdangerous threat of all. When such outbreaks occur, an elite team ofmedical investigators from the National Institutes of Health, lead byDr. Stephen Connor, is on the case to get to the bottom of the dangeranywhere in the country.House M.D. as stated premiered that same year. The pitch, also viaIMDb, the series follows the life of anti-social, pain killer addict, witty, and arrogant medical doctor Gregory House with only half amuscle in his right leg. He and his team of medical doctors try to curevery ill ordinary people in the United States of America. This newpilot starred Hugh Laurie, known only at the time for Stuart Little,Robert Sean Leonard, best known for his role in Dead Poets Society, andOmar Epps from E.R.So as an objective observer and someone who watched both shows whenthey premiered, who did I think would win the battle? At the time, itwas Medical Investigations. It had a CSI feel, had known dramaticactors, offered a fair amount of action, drama and grossness to keeppeople interested, and had the advantage of an ever changing locale.Obviously this was not the case, as House M.D. is in its seventh yearand is showing no signs of slowing in the near future. So what is thedifference? To put it as simply as possible, Hugh Laurie is thedifference. At the time of the premiere, Hugh Laurie was not known in the states atall. Now he is amongst the most recognizable people on television, evenover the Kardashians. Before his role on House M.D., Hugh was known inthe United Kingdom as a very successful comedic actor, having starredand guest starred on many of the BBC's highest rated shows. His firstintroduction to the American public was as Mr. Little in the liveaction movie Stuart Little. The character of House M.D. started as one you love to hate, but overthe years he has grown on the public. Laurie and the writers haveslowly peeled back the onion to reveal the man inside the bristleddiagnostician shell. Never before, with the exception of E.R., has aprime time show gone through the upheaval of casting like House andsurvived the aftermath. The reason House M.D. has defied the odds, garnered critical acclaim, won four Emmys, two golden globes, and isseen in over 65 countries worldwide is Hugh Laurie. This character, this idea, would have never worked if not for HughLaurie's brilliance. Now, I know I am gushing, however I am movingtoward a point. One of the most important things that happened with theacceptance of House by the viewing public, in my humble opinion, wasthe permanent change of landscape. Television drama went from mediocrestatus to a place that encourages characters and real actors. It is mybelief that House M.D. paved the way for shows like the Closer, Dexter,Weeds, Californication, and Breaking Bad, by proving that not allprotagonists look, act, and sound the same. There is a way to berealistic, without going to reality. Most importantly, it expressedthat the prime time TV viewers are ready for outside the box thinking, and are now expecting it.I will watch House MD for as long as it is on. Through the cast changesand revolving addictions alike, I will always be back for more. House, both the actor, and the character, are simply brilliant, and that keepsme tuned in.Amy Romine BellaOnline's Prime Time TV Editorhttp://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art24337.asp

Hugh Laurie - What a STAR!!! When I was first introduced to 'House', Isaw Hugh Laurie was the main actor and immediately I wanted to watchand become gripped by House. I had previously known Hugh Laurie for hiscomical work in 'Blackadder', but when I saw the first episode of'House', it was hard to tell whether I was actually watching HughLaurie or not, as was his amazing skill. His 'fake' American accent isfaultless and blends perfectly with the American style of drama. ForHugh to have spoken in his English accent in the show would have been adrawback to the series. It is even said that while on the set of'House' he always speaks in his Anerican accent so that he is fully incharacter when it comes to his acting. As for the show itself, the directing and producing could not have beenmore perfect! The medical dilemmas faced in every episode areenthralling and the added touch of Laurie's hilarious sarcastic andjoking attitude is incredibly unique. The other actors should be congratulated themselves too on excellentwork. House's three apprentices act more as children to House, as theyare ordered around everywhere by House, but are still vital to thewhole process of figuring out the mystery with the case. There is alsoLisa Edelstein who plays Cuddy - the Dean of Medicine. She is alwaysdisagreeing with House's crazy and unorthodox diagnosis', but is forcedto put her job on the line and agree with them - nearly all the time!!!And of course Wilson played by Robert Sean Leonard. He is House's 'bestfriend' and is involved with everything House does. Most of the time heand House are arguing about their own personal issues like they aretalking about someone else, which makes for great viewing.House really has exploded onto the scene and has impressed so manypeople. The uniqueness of Hugh Laurie as House makes this show what itis, and he himself deserves many of the plaudits for what House M.D hasachieved. Without him I doubt this show would be as successful as itcurrently is.Well Done Hugh and House!!!

This is the best freaking show in the world! I totally love all thecharacters! Jessie Spencer is so freaking adorable! I love therelationship between House and Lisa Edelstein too! Foreman is soannoying though! Willson is OK! Stacy should have never been on theshow in the first place! That was the only mistake! It would be so coolif Cuddy's parents or sister or some old boyfriend/ ex-husband came onto the show that would be so awesome! I give this show a 10 because itshows what you want to see! Like, for example, Cuddy and House gettingtogether! That would be awesome! It would be so cool if Cuddy hasHouse's baby! That would be weird but cool at the same time!

Any Series that forces Pro-Abortion attitudes into peoples homes in theguise of entertainment is NOT entertainment. It doesn't matter how it is packaged up, when the messages are so veryobviously biased and without genuine merit, WITHOUT demonstrating theother side of the argument (and in fact belittling the argument againstkilling millions of children every year, when in fact the defaultposition of any rational, sane human being should be to protect life atall costs)this program is no longer entertainment and is in factpropaganda.Writers and producers need to learn that not everyone is as easilyfooled and are not as willing to be force-fed something we arevehemently opposed to! For this reason, the franchise is not acceptable to a significantproportion of the population and is not acceptable to me.

This is one of the finest TV shows made in the last 15 years. The castis amazing, the direction (multiple directors) is superb, and thescript truly divine.House MD deals with a certain Doctor House (Hugh Laurie), his boss, DrCuddy (Lisa Edelstein), his best friend Dr Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard)and his three staff members, Dr Foreman (Omar Epps), Dr Chase (JesseSpencer) and Dr Cameron (Jennifer Morrison). From all appearances, Dr House is a rude, arrogant, obnoxious anduncaring. I say appearances because as you soon find out, he cares agreat deal. House has a chip on his shoulder and he doesn't mindventing himself on all and sundry, including himself. The first series slowly introduces us to House and his team, hisrelationships with his boss and his friends and his relationships withhis patients. Despite the fact that House remains rude, obnoxious andarrogant, he is also truly brilliant. His staff are hand picked andseem to be elements of himself that he can not be. Foreman has hisleadership and drive, Cameron his heart and caring and Chase maybe amanifestation of how he would like to appear to women. He never tellsthem this and he never says so in the story, but House is crippled andunder painkillers most of the time meaning he needs these people as hiseyes, ears, and his hands. Despite telling them otherwise, he truststhem implacably, but he reminds them over and over of theirshortcomings when a diagnosis fails, but that is only because he doesthis to himself even more. His boss gives House free reign, but at the same time is trying to healhim by giving him contact to the outside world via the 'Clinic' whereHouse has to mix with real people, something he seems to loathe. WhenForeman is tempted away to another hospital, it seems House doeswhatever he can to push him there, but Foreman realizes that Houseactually cares, that he believes what he does means something andstays. He even starts to dress like House, something the other teammembers point out. When Chase's father comes to visit, he steps in totry and mend the rift between. And when Cameron falls in love with him,he questions her feelings by bringing up her past history. Cameron wasmarried before; after the man was diagnosed with cancer. His attack onher has her resign but he brings her back promising to go out on onedate which does not go well for them. During this lead up, Houseappears to be actually falling in love, but he can not go through withit. In the penultimate episode of the series, 'THREE STORIES', we meetHouse's ex and we discover what happened to House's leg and why he isin so much pain. The story is incredibly moving as House chooses toreveal his case history as a John Doe patient to a lecture room full ofstudents. Well, half full to begin with. We finally find out why Houseis House and why he could not deal with his relationship with Cameronand why his only friend is Dr Wilson (think Castaway and a volleyball)and why Dr Cuddy gives House such free reign. The final episode is one where he treats his ex's new husband andmanages to save his life. In the very first episode, he quotes to DrCuddy from a Dr Jagger: 'You can't always get what you want'. And inthe last of the series, a forlorn House attempts to walk without a caneand fails to the said tune.Who could have guessed that Americans would learn to make shows likethis! Brilliant!

I am a former hospital employee, come from a medical family, and ammarried to a woman who is herself, and many of whose family membersare, medical people. So I know there is no doctor on Earth like GregoryHouse, but this doesn't make watching the show any less enjoyable. Eachweek, House and his crew of Dr. Watson-like eggheads take on a casethat presents serious complications. Yes, House is the medicalequivalent of Sherlock Holmes and it is no mistake that he too isaddicted to drugs and very antisocial. Some of the best scenes haveHouse simply sitting by himself thinking through the problem of theweek. Instead of a pipe, the crippled House plays with his cane. HughLaurie is wonderful as the misanthropic House although the rest of thecast is highly generic, less the fault of the supporting players(including Omar Epps and Robert Sean Leonard) than the scripts, Isuspect. The show, which has House performing a weekly medical miracle,is probably way too intellectual for the average TV viewer, and Ipredict its demise by the end of Season Three or Four. On the otherhand, I suspect viewership is predominantly female, as most of themales on the show are played as hunks. So one never knows.

A word of caution. Before you visit Princeton Plainsborough, be awarethat the doctor might not treat you with kindness. He is no Brad Pitt. He can only walk with a crutch. He is frustratedand in constant pain. He's a drug addict. He's a genius and still wrongso many times. His name is House, and he has only got one friend in theworld. He is a brilliant doctor, and a pathetic human being. It takes awhile to realise that a lot of his sarcasm and brutal honesty is meantkindly. Then there is his team: sympathetic and a little more shallow, butstill interesting characters, each one with a story. Their boss, House, frequently ridicules them and treats them rather horribly, but theyappreciate him for the challenges he provides, and because theyactually have the chance to become better doctors while with him.The true strength of the show lies in the writing. Hysterically funnyat one time, the next scene has you in tears without a warning. Theactors cannot be praised enough - especially Hugh Laurie, of course, who has been limping and adopting an accent for the show for sevenyears now. The medical cases are apparently well researched and oftencome with a little (or major) twist. The show also has no problem tosometimes laugh at itself - watch out for medical soap opera within theseries!"Everybody lies" is a postulate of the show, and you quickly learn notto trust anything you hear in the first 30 minutes. The writing israther underrated; often, there are subtle links (or parallels) betweenthe case of the week and personal issues of the cast. The formulas thatwork are suddenly overthrown before you can complain about a hint ofboredom. Watch "House's Head" and "Wilson's Heart" for a truemasterpiece that s t i l l blows you away when you have already heardthe outcome. In short, this show has made some bold decisions and continues renewingitself without becoming shallow. It draws you in and takes you for afurious roller-coaster ride. And they are not finished yet: the limpingdoctor is going to return for an eighth installment, so do not passthis up. It deserves all the praise it gets.

I love this show, it's the best thing to come on TV for a long while,it's not over hyped like 'Lost' seems to be, it kinda slip in under theradar and surprises! Hugh Laurie is excellent. It was slightly offputting hearing his accent for a while, because I know him mostly fromBlackadder, and you can't get any more different. The character'sunique and complex and he plays all side to House with equal strength.House is a great contrast to his colleagues. I really enjoy thelove/hate relationship he has with his boss, Dr. Cuddy. And the willthey/won't they thing he has going with Dr. Cameron. I think thesupporting characters each bring out a different side to him and itmakes interesting viewing. The way the show is approached is unusual as well. Instead of the madworld of the ER in, well, ER! It's slower and more in depth but abouttwice and interesting. I was a huge ER fan back in the day, but it'slost it's appeal now. House has definitely taken over!! I startedwatching this show mostly because I'm a "Neighbours" obsessive freak!!Loved Jesse Spencer in his role as Billy Kennedy int he 90's and tunedin to see if he'd wriggled out of the Soap Opera typecast into aserious role, in Hollywood no less! And I have to say he 100% has! Ilike that the cast are relitively unknown. It works well in letting theshow develop as a whole rather and the "Desperate Housewives staringTerri Hatcher from Superman" thing that, IMO, killed that show! Readsomewhere that the first series is not yet planned for release in theUK. Quite frankly, that sucks!! I'm going to scream and shout, kick upa fuss and possibly kill someone until it is! And I don't care howbroke I am when it does come out, I'm buying it and not leaving my sofauntil I've relived every ounze of drama and every hilarious one liner!A resounding 9.5 out of 10, the only niggle I have is that the patientshardly ever die!!! But I can over look that, on account of the factthey way they don't die is so entertaining!

Both entertaining and poignant, House is definitely a show worthwatching. When one first watches this show it may seem House is nothing more thana severely twisted and sarcastic pill-popping doctor who does nothingmore than argue with his interns. However, a closer look at the showreveals thought-out character development, as well as an examination ofhuman nature and philosophy. Besides the deep and emotional side of thestory, my other favorite reason for watching this show - Hugh Laurie(Dr. House). A great actor, and possibly the only one who could pulloff a character such as House. However, I did rate this series as an 8/10. The reason? : Seasons 1&2were by far the best, containing meaningful developments in characterand truthful commentaries (which make up for the mediocre acting ofHouse's interns and the House&Stacy moments). After the early episodesof season 3, the show began to slide. The once deep show has beenreduced to repetitive cases, awkward character interactions, and simplesituation driven plots lacking the once character development orientedepisodes of seasons1&2.In order to fully enjoy this series, one must put aside his initialimpressions of House as a manic and a druggie and rewatch the episodesonce or twice in order to acquire the nuances wrapped into the show.Still, House remains a show that should not be missed! (especiallyseasons 1&2)

This is a show that can be loved by almost any audience. At times itcan be funny, sad, serious, and even somewhat educational! Thecharacter of House, whom Hugh Laurie does an EXCELLENT job of playing,is very unique and fun to watch. Even the rest of the cast adds a lotto the show. We have an extremely hot one; a very sarcastic andbrutally honest one; one with a huge conscience that makes her dwell onto many things; and a more. I have watched every episode so far andeven the reruns are still exciting to watch. The series deserves to stay for a long time with the excellent writers, directors and cast. KUDOS TO YOU ALL ^_^

As a Diabetic of 33 years experience I must say this was a great way toruin a usually semi informative show. If a Diabetic learns 1 thing thatgets drilled into your head it is this: If you put insulin into a veinit has a huge chance (somewhere around 99%) of killing you. This isbecause the insulin entering the heart causes the heart to go into lowblood sugar shock which causes the muscle to run out of energy. Now Iknow the facts of most of the show is fairly loosely based on realitybut 1 semi educated Diabetic could have told them that the forearm is adangerous spot to inject insulin. Use the stomach or leg instead... butwait they can't do that, House would never take down his pants...RIGHT??? This uneducated move causes me to consider not watching theshow anymore... 10% of America and Canada has Diabetes and of those 10%develop insulin dependent Diabetes as a kid. that means they have justinsulted 1% of the population and that doesn't include insulindependent Diabetics that had adult onset.. on a rough guess 10-20% ofadult onset diabetics.

There are 3 shows each week that I cannot miss: House, CSI andDesperate Housewives. The former 2 I adore but the women of WisteriaLane occasionally I can see what's coming. House is one of the best newshows to hit the airwaves since Sex and the City back in 98. I've beena fan of Hugh Laurie since Black Adder Part 3 and I always knew he wasa great actor. He's so handsome too! i LOVE scruffy men. I'm only a 27year old female so he could be a father to me, but he is still hot! Hissupporting cast is also great as well, I adore Cameron and Wilson isvery good too. It doesn't hurt that Foreman and Chase are also veryhot. I love the CSI approach to the patients and figuring out what'swrong with them, there have been some awesome cases. House is a prick, but he grows on you like an old bottle of wine. Keep this one aroundfor a while Fox!

This past August, I began watching old episodes of House. I had avoidedit because my wife & I are usually quite picky about what we watch. Mywife had seen some past episodes from a 1st season DVD that someone hadbrought to her work. So, I figured I would check it out.I found myself intrigued by the cases and amused with the leadcharacter, Dr. Greg House. He seemed to have a personality only amother could love, with much effort. However, my wife was fairlybemused as it appeared that I was starting to get hooked. That is until the episode Thirteen. I guess it had to happen. There wasa hole in the character quota. After all, they had the rascallycurmudgeon (House), the loyal sidekick/friend (Wilson), the formerghetto child with a chip on his shoulder and brilliant in his field, agorgeous team member who tried to rise above the fray, a good lookingAussie with an accent that the girls love, and a witchy boss, givingthem a powerful woman character. Wait a minute! They missed one. Whereis the resident and requisite female or male homosexual? How could wehave missed that all these years? Well, that problem has now been"solved". They've just made Thirteen a lesbian/bisexual, and a sluttyone at that, according to the Oct 21st episode. It was bad enough when they had the lesbian "couple" who lost "their"baby during the newborn epidemic. Now, we have to be subjected to arecurring character in this role. The problem is, up to this point, House has been an excellent, ifsomewhat flawed, series. I think that Hugh Laurie is brilliant asHouse. The Wilson character is the perfect foil/best friend. However, all this is not enough to overcome this new development with Thirteen(I know they probably addressed this about her before, but I mostlikely missed that episode). It is too bad. I was really getting to like this show.

This series is not only a medical show worth watching for its medicalcases, it is also somewhat of a detective show. This makes for a greatmix that can easily fill an episode with only one single medical case.Hugh Laurie was well cast for the role of Dr. Gregory House, a medicaldoctor who likes to do things differently and likes to take his timedoing so. The entire cast seems to have built a great chemistry onlyafter a few episodes, some dramatic scenes can make you nearly fall ofyour chair of amazement, to be followed by rolling on the floorlaughing. The casting director found in Hugh Laurie the perfect personto put a comic spin on almost every dramatic scene he's in. Afterwatching seasons one and two I'd like to say that I can only hope thisseries will go on for years to come. Two thumbs up! Three if I hadthem! A definite MUST watch!

First of all I must say, I HATE TV-SHOWS, I hate serials and I almosthate people who loves them, because I somewhat think they have nolife...Now about Dr. House: It's the first time that TV-Series caught me and Ican't even say for sure, why? Maybe it's Dr. Houses' witty, Britishhumor that you can't usually see in American movies.Maybe it's because in my childhood I loved Sherlock Holmes and Dr.House reminds me him so much...Maybe it's just because Hugh Laurie is such a good actor that it's justa pleasure to sit back and watch him act...I don't know which reason it is, maybe all of them together. All I cansay - that this show is GREAT, catching, inspiring, funny, dramatic, chaotic and... did I say funny? Just one complaint: After season 1, inseason 2, show became more "soapy" than it should be. Because "soap" -isn't very "Housish"...Implementing the character of Stacey Werner was a mistake (Just my 2cents). She is annoying, she is out of the team, she is distracting andshe ruins the character of House. (She's not as other co-workers andcharacters who actually HELP to build Houses' char) I'm not againstsome "private life" for our dear medics and absolutely not against somecharacter development and depth, but DON'T dare to try to IMPROVEHouse, Because that's where his charm is. He's not improveable; he'snot sentimental, he's sarcastic son of a b***h and that's how he muststay...Less private drama - more cases!

Everyone I know seems to like House, M.D. but I have serious problemswith it. I am a teaching physician for an Internal Medicine ResidencyProgram and I am appalled at the portrayal of "academic physicians" inthis show. Their line of reasoning is scattered at best. Their medicalfacts are inaccurate most of the time. The discussions they have on thedifferential diagnosis for the "mystery disease" are completelyoutrageous and do not resemble any conference that I know of. I realizethat the dialogue and story-line are primarily for entertainmentpurposes and not for medical education. However, writers/producers ofthe show should take a lesson from E.R. Although E.R. takes liberty indramatizing activity in a hospital, it is very accurate in most oftheir medical facts. More importantly, E.R. often tackles thehumanistic side of medical illnesses rather than trying to shock theiraudiences with implausible medical scenarios as is shown in House, M.D.Bottom-line: enjoy the drama but don't believe for a second that thisis how real medicine is practiced. I just wish they would ask a trueacademic physician for help since there is a plethora of interestingand rare diseases that could be on the show... which would beinteresting AND accurate.

Rude, condescending, sarcastic, belittling and brilliant. If the combination of words that best describes someone has seeminglyinherent contradictions, we need to look for addiction, howeverimprobable it may at first seem. Since these terms are an aptdescription of Dr. Gregory House, the lead character on the show"House," the odds are if we are able to peer into the person's privatelife we'll prove addictive use.I only recently discovered "House" in its third season. There is littleon TV that brings thoughts such as "brilliant" or several belly laughsin almost every episode, but "House" manages. The tight and acerbicwriting is comparable to that of the original "Law and Order" starringthe late Jerry Orbach as Detective Lenny Briscoe. It, too, is one ofthe greatest series ever shown on the small screen. The culprit is amedical malady instead of a human one and Dr. House is a practicingpharmaceutical drug addict, while Briscoe was a recovering alcoholic.Until recently, each episode of "House" was a stand-alone medicalmystery. However, a new thread has been introduced, which heightens theinterest for the addiction aware. House has supposedly been in chronicpain while gulping Vicodin like they're candy. He's nasty,mean-spirited and sarcastic to both staff and patients, which could betypical of an iNtuitive-Thinker M.D. addict. His nastiness wasparticularly pronounced while treating a detective named MichaelTritter (smartly played by David Morse). When Tritter realized thatHouse was an addict, he decided to go after him.The investigation of House's overuse of pain pills has begun and we'velearned that House has forged prescriptions in order to load up as onlyan addict would. House tells Tritter that one of his subordinates, Dr.James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), wrote the scripts, which Wilsonconfirms, as only a dutiful enabler would. Now that his drug supply isthreatened, House is shown becoming suddenly more interested in keepingaccess to the drug than to the medical mystery at hand. And, he's readyand willing to sacrifice Wilson's medical practice. Will the addict gethis due? Or will the enabler be the fall guy? It probably won't turnout the way it should in real life (the show would likely have to end),but we will at least be entertained and hopefully not too annoyed atthe result."House" is strongly recommended for very good acting, excellentwriting, an interesting mystery, some very clever if mean-spiritedsarcasm and a unique look at the possible behaviors of an addictediNtuitive Thinker in his position. Now, even better, it offers a viewof several different people enabling for their own reasons, as well ashow far an addict will go in destroying the lives of others to protecthis perceived right to use.

Hugh Laurie is very entertaining and people who have a problem with hisaccent are silly, because there are SO MANY different accents anddialects in this country, to me he sounds very believable. The entirecast are great actors and the story lines are very interesting, butthat is not why we're hooked on this show. My husband has been havingstrange symptoms for over a year now and doctors here have thrown tonsof pills at him and done minimal testing, but don't really seeminterested in finding the root of the problems, just stop-gaps for thesymptoms. I wish more doctors in real life went to all the trouble toreally listen to patients and do TONS of tests despite the costs... orjust took more interest in solving the problem, not just sending thepatient back out the door with the least amount of expense and timeinvested. Why do we watch House? This show gives us hope. I'd ratherhave a politically incorrect, or outright rude doctor solve our medicalmystery than a bunch of "nice ones" not. Plain and simple.
