This review is from: Just Go With It (DVD) I love this movie, and was very pleased to receive it so speedy, so I could hurry and watch it again. Great service.

This review is from: Just Go With It (Amazon Instant Video) Because of The Wedding Singer and Spanglish, I always have hope that I will enjoy an Adam Sandler movie, but I am often disappointed. So I rented this movie only because I've seen everything else out there and needed something to fill my Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised. Jennifer Aniston and Sandler have good chemistry and made what could have been an irritating premise very enjoyable. The kids in the movie were great too and very funny. Overall, a few good laughs and a nice surprise. Also made me REALLY want to return to Hawaii.

Honestly, for the past few years I have been losing interest in bothAdam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movies. Both of their last few movieswere total flops, in my opinion, and I went into the theater withserious doubt. However, this movie was AWESOME! If you like Sandler'solder stuff then you will love this movie. He goes back to his basicswith humor in this one. Sure it's totally far-fetched, but the humormakes it worth it. Also like his older movies, there were those fewmoments that were so sweet that made you wish you had your own"egg-head." Jennifer Aniston was awesome in this movie. She's a funnygirl, but has been given bad material in the past. This was just whatshe needed. She was sexy, funny, and totally knew her roll. Plus, shehad such great chemistry with Sandler. I can never buy the chemistry inher other movies between her and other guys, but these two seemed toreally hit it off! Over-all great, funny movie.

I love Adam Sandler movies, so I knew that I wanted to rent it. I was doubtful about Jennifer Aniston though. I have not been a fan of her other movies. She was great in Just Go With It though! She didn't over act plus her and Adam worked well together. I laughed my butt off! This is a keeper...going to buy it!

This film is a real piece of Devlin.

Since others have commented so accurately upon the unrealistic script, sight gags, below-par acting and annoying child actors there isn't muchmore to say.The salaries for JGWI: Stiller: $25,000,000, Aniston: $10,000,000,Kidman: unlisted for this flick (her last dozen or so films averagedher around $10,000,000 per picture- none of which are worthmentioning)-- which leaves two questions, "what do we get forForty-Five Million Dollars?" and, "Why isn't there a 'Minus' RatingStar available? One positive note: We now know that Mr Sandler, in a one-on-one withAniston, is totally unable to act, preferring to keep staring at herbreasts- and Aniston, in her almost-up-to-a-two-dimensional character-fails to notice his inability to look up.Adam Sandler comfortably wears the phrase oft used for Ben Stiller:"Not funny on any planet." Dennis Dugan's talent appears to have peaked in 'The Waltons'.

Frankly, it's depressing to watch two likable talents pushing such a blatantly empty experience.

Although Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are not the caliber ofRosalind Russell and Cary Grant, they are a well-matched comedic couplein Just Go with It. When they're not engaged in a typical rom-commoment that makes them a loving couple (sorry about the spoiler, butyou knew it anyway), they are scrappy and witty, making me almostbelieve they don't love each other. This story of plastic surgeon Danny (Sandler) having his assistant,Katherine (Aniston), act as his divorcing wife so he can snag23-year-old-hottie Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) is boilerplate rom-com, butnot bad at that. The slapstick and repartee are sometimes aboveaverage, and Sandler with Katherine's two children is right at home atwhat he does best: kind-hearted and funny and always ready to let thechild actors upstage him. For instance, Bailee Madison as Katherine's daughter, Maggie, stealsscenes with her fake Brit accent and overall chutzpah emanating fromher strong personality first evident in Disney's Bridge to Terabithia.Sandler is brilliant with her, playing off her aggressiveness with hisown low-key but smart responses. He brings out the best in everyoneevery time he relinquishes control of the scene. It's a good film as well that lets Nicole Kidman goof a little asKatherine's college rival; the two facing off in a Hawaiian hip-swayingcontest is an amusing display of talent and toning, not bad at all forladies who are getting as long in the tooth as Sandler. Not all thesecondary characters are as fun: Comic relief from Nick Swardson assilly buddy Eddie is tediously forced. The comedy has all the requisite turns of the genre, all the clichés,and all the telegraphed twists. However, Just Go with It is a pleasantsurprise in this movie dead zone before the Oscar winner announcements.

I liked this film, especially how it ended, it was beautiful. I can bet you anything those who gave this movie bad reviews are people who lost interest halfway and never watched till the end. And I don't blame them for that, to be honest, the story plot was stupid, and I can totally see how many people will stop watching after half an hour, because I almost did that, too. But I'm glad I stick till the end and enjoyed as the ending unfolds. Trust me on this, if you watch till the end, you'll have a smile on your face

This review is from: Just Go With It (Amazon Instant Video) I was kinda scared to watch this movie..... But I am glad I did. This was Adam Sandler's best movie since wedding singer. Jennifer and Adam have great chemistry.

This had quite a few good reviews and I thought it might be light fun. What a huge disappointment. You have to suspend disbelief about the way Adam Sandler talks with his assistant while there are patients there, about why this string of gorgeous young things would find him charming, why the complex (if predictable) scheme to pretend to have a soon-to-be-ex wife would have seemed plausible to someone who completed med school.Nicole Kidman was creepy and her character to over-the-top to buy into. The kids were very sitcom-cute. The idiot cousin was just annoying.

I wish that I could live in movies. Everything would be so much easier.Sure I would have problems, but they would all be solved in two hoursour less. I would find a beautiful woman and of course there would besome discourse then I would try to deceive her through a series oflies. She would catch me in these lies and we would either a) make upand get back together or b) I find my true love, who was my "PlainJane" friend all along. Regardless we would live happily ever after...until the sequel where we have kids and something zany would bound tohappen. "Just Go with It" is the newest comedy starring Adam Sandler andJennifer Aniston. Sandler plays Danny, an immature, unprofessionalplastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. He had his heart broken years agoright before his wedding. He called the wedding off; now single, hewears his wedding band to the bars. Here he finds attractive women andconvinces them that he is in an awful marriage. The random women feelsorry for him then automatically sleep with him (note to self: buy awedding band today). He does this for 23 years; think about it - 23years of one-night stands. Danny finally meets the girl of his dreams, Palmer (played by BrooklynDecker), at a party. She is a perfect "10" and she sleeps with himwithout even seeing his phony wedding band (note to self: go to moreparties). When they awake, she finds his wedding band and thinks he ismarried. Palmer is 23 years old. This means when Danny started sleepingwith random women, Palmer was in diapers. Does any one else find thatcreepy? Since Danny has deep feelings for this particular one-night stand, hestarts lying to her in order to keep her. His office assistant,Katherine (Played by Aniston) helps him in the lie by pretending to beDanny's soon-to-be ex-wife. Palmer wants to meet Danny's future ex-wifebecause of some issues she had with her own parents' divorce. They allmeet at a restaurant where they don't talk about the divorce; it'sfrankly five minutes of Danny and Katherine insulting each other abouttheir phony marriage that is about to end in a phony divorce. The interaction between the three is almost done when Katherinereceives a call from her kids and now Palmer wants to meet Danny'sphony kids. Now we have to drag two kids into this web of lies. Thisstoryline added some much needed fresh talent. The young actress,Bailee Madison who plays the daughter, did a wonderful job of pullingthe spotlight onto herself since Aniston and Sandler weren't doing muchto move out of their own comfort zone. One lie leads to the next and they all end up in Hawaii. While on animpromptu family vacation with Danny, his girlfriend, his phonysoon-to-be ex-wife, her phony soon-to-be husband (played by NickSwardson) and the phony kids, the headache is getting bigger and thejokes are falling flatter. Through rampant coincidence the phony couplemeets Katherine's old sorority sister and her husband (played by NicoleKidman and Dave Matthews). Now we are presented a whole new lie and nota lot of fresh jokes to make it worth our time. The entire story snowballs up to the part that the audience saw comingfrom about 15 minutes into the film. Danny soon finds who he shouldreally be with; it shouldn't be much of a surprise if you have beenfollowing along. Should you see this movie? No, it's just another Sandler film. If youare a die-hard Sandler fan you will probably see it regardless. Helikes to find one joke and hold onto it through the film. Let it go,man; just because you talk in a funny voice doesn't mean you should doit all the time.

This was a stupid movie. . I am not an Adam Sandler fan but I gave this movie a shot to take another glance at his acting. Still not impressed. This was a waste of film. The little girl that play Jennifer Aniston daughter is so annoying-severly overacting. Had to mute it everytime she talked. . She must be related to Adam Sandler. Jennifer Aniston did some overacting also-sorry Jen but you were only good in "Friends" (give up the movies) . But then again there are more annoying actors as (vince Vaghn and will Ferrell). Just have to keep watching my old films that don't give me a headache.

I fast forwarded through some parts of this movie, if that tells you anything! I'm very surprised that Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman would attach themselves to this movie. Not that Adam Sandler is known for Academy Award-winning movies, but this one was an even lower caliber than his other movies that I've seen. Nicole Kidman portrays a particularly annoying character. The only pluses I could mention are the scenery and the soundtrack. I repeat, just skip it!

This is a horrible movie that actually made me laugh a bunch of timesbut that still doesn't save it from my rating. The laughs haveabsolutely nothing to do with the plot and are mostly sight gags. Theentire premise is absurd, instead of telling the truth to the new girlhe met about wearing a wedding ring he concocts a lie so complicatedand stupid it could never work under any circumstances. One point beingthe idea that he is automatically going to stay with this girl eventhough they only had one night together but still creates situationsthat would not work in any future with her. His fake wife is really hisassistant, his cousin has to do a fake German accent and his fakedaughter has to continue to do a English Cockney accent forever? The blonde girlfriend must be the dumbest woman on the planet tobelieve the nonsense she is being told. The end is predictable. The only good thing was Nick Swardson who is very funny.

Adam Sandler movies are for everyone! Unless you're ugly, uncool, old, fat, gay, non-white or, heaven help you, all of the above.

This movie sucks in every way. I would give it negative 5 stars if I could. It's just an event for the actors to try to convince everyone and themselves that they are funny, hot, or whatever. It's a total self-promoting pile of vomit. It fails and it is pathetic. It's insulting that they think they made a movie worth watching. I'm not sure if many of the reviews with high ratings are a joke or not, but for those who really think it's funny are quite easily amused and have no sense of real comedy. The script is stupid and characters in this movie are stupid and so is anybody who actually likes it.

This movie is one of those Adam Sandler films for which you really have to suspend reality. You have to believe that Sandler could successfully pick up a 23 year old... and a 40 something Aniston. You have to believe Sandler as a doctor. And you have to believe that love/relationships regularly move at warped speed.Once you get past all of that, this film is very entertaining. Aniston is wonderful as Sandler's office assistant who agrees to pretend to be Sandler's ex-wife so that Sandler can explain to his new crazy young/attractive love interest why he carries a wedding ring. Aniston is really funny and is a great foil to Sandler. As expected, the lie goes too far and comedy ensues. Nick Swardson, Nicole Kidman and Dave Matthews also give really entertaining and surprising performances. This movie is predictable and corny and feel good. I watched it with a friend who is only really interested in watching documentaries and even he found Sandler's sometimes gross jokes laugh out loud funny. I would definitely suggest buying this film. I definitely plan on watching it again. It's just fun.

This review is from: Just Go With It (Amazon Instant Video) Jennifer Aniston & Adam Sandler have great chemistry and his cousin made me laugh out loud a few times. But all together the movie wasn't anything special. It was very formulaic and VERY predictable. It wasn't the worst I've seen, but wasn't the best either.

I can't understand how anyone could think this movie was funny. There was nothing funny in it. To try for humor someone had to be mugging for the camera, talking potty humor, acting so strange that in reality, they would go into a mental institution, nothing genuinely funny. The strained movie plot is that Adam Sandler is about to get married and finds out his girl is cheating on him. He goes to a bar and gets lucky by lying about his not actual wife. Apparently, according to Sandler, this makes women want you more. So after years of pretending to have a wife, he meets the girl of his dreams and has to get a real wife. Lucky for him his medical assistant, Jennifer Aniston, is willing to do this for him. Ok sure fine whatever. The movie is over right? No.. for some bizzaro reason the whole group (including Aniston's kids) head down to some tropic beach resort. Now that is where the movie lost me. How could anyone take that much time off, never mind a doctor, his assistant, and her kids. Um... school? The movie just goes off the tracks here into silly skit like things that happen: including a man trying to give a sheep CPR, a child going #2 on someone's hand, and a bizzare dance contest with Nicole Kidman. And despite a lot of things going wrong it never dawns on the love of Sandler's life that there is something wrong here.I guess, we are supposed to believe that Sandler and Aniston fall in love, but um, you must have acting in order to have anyone buy this and Sandler can't act. So an audience member doesn't even get that out of the story. Talk about going though the motions, Sandler doesn't even try - at all - to seem like he is into Aniston. So sum up, not funny, not romantic, and about 79 minutes too long.
